Come To Our Aide, MACBAN Cries Out Over Killings Of Members In Kaduna
Miyetti Allah cattle breaders Association of Nigeria MACBAN has alleged that it has lost number of its members to various attacks in Kaduna communities.
The Kaduna state Chairman of the Association, Haruna Usman also alleged in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday that despite the increased killings, the Operation Safe Haven could not live up to the expectations.
In the statement, Usman disclosed that, upon assumption of office by the new Sector Commander of the Operation Safe Haven in the last three months more of its members have lost their lives.
The Association thereby called on the Federal and State Governments to come to their aide, and call to order, the Sector Commander Operation Safe Haven; Sector 7 Kafanchan, Lt Col. Osueke Andy Uzor, whom they accused of being biased in the discharge of his duty.
” This act of bias is responsible for either the unexplainable disappearance or outright killing of our innocent members in Godogodo village of Jema’a Local Government Area,” Kaduna MACBAN leader claimed.
The Association however, accused the Sector Commander of abandoning his official guest house, rather staying in an apartment belonging to whom they suspected to be sponsoring the killings of its members.
” On this note, we are appealing to the Kaduna State Government to look into the antics of the Commander whose very actions are against the government’s policies of being fair and just to all the Communities in the state.
” We are enjoying our members to remain calm and exercise restraint and be law abiding citizens as we have reported our grievances to the concerned authorities,” Usman explained.
